Laurence Ellis Flowers Jr, the beloved son of the late Laurence Ellis Flowers Sr. and Deloris Collins Flowers, entered this world on December 26, 1965, in the quaint town of Wabasso, Florida. Growing up, Laurence Jr. pursued his education within the Indian River County district schools where he cultivated his passion for learning and personal growth. After his studies, Laurence Jr. embarked on a career journey that led him to Graves Brothers Citrus groves in Wabasso, as well as the esteemed Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, where he honed his skills as an interior painter. His dedication and hard work were evident in all that he did, bringing joy and creativity to his surroundings. Despite facing challenging health issues later in life, Laurence Jr. remained resilient and committed to his work until the time came for him to retire. Throughout his life, he exuded a contagious sense of joy and positivity, making him a beloved husband, father, and son. Those who knew Laurence Jr. would attest to his kind and loving nature, always ready with a joke to bring laughter to those around him. In addition to his professional pursuits, Laurence Jr. had a wide range of hobbies that brought him immense pleasure. Whether he was playing basketball, fishing, showcasing his talents as an artist through painting, or whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen, Laurence Jr. approached each activity with enthusiasm and skill. Furthermore, he was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying a spirit of generosity and compassion. On January 17, 2026, Laurence Ellis Flowers Jr. peacefully passed away at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered. As God’s silent angel came to carry him home, Laurence Jr. left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his spirit continue to shine bright in the memories of those who dearly cherished him. It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of Laurence Ellis Flowers Jr. He is now proceeded with his beloved wife, Yolanda Flowers, in eternal peace. He was also preceded in death by his father, Laurence Ellis Flowers Sr., mother, Delores Flowers, grandparents, Jacob Flowers and Isabella Flowers, Aunt, Jere Spearman and brother, Avery Flowers. Laurence Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories. His daughters, Letevia Flowers, Kiandra Flowers, Senai Flowers, and Laurence Flowers III, will forever hold him close in their hearts. In addition, his cherished grandchildren, Adrianna Lester and Mikhael Douillard. Also, mourning his loss are his brother, Bobbie Flowers, and uncle, Vernon Flowers, along with a multitude of other family members and friends who were touched by Laurence Jr.’s presence in their lives. Though he may no longer be with us in physical form, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Laurence Ellis Flowers Jr. will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
