Ms. Eveline Forestal

Eveline Forestal was born on June 8, 1955, in Dame-Marie, Haiti, to Anne Michel and Termolise Trejuste. She was later raised in Port-au-Prince by Mezlea Boyer, and Percival Forestal was her stepfather. From an early age, Eveline developed the strength, courage, and determination that would guide her throughout her life. In 1982, Eveline immigrated to the United States and first arrived in Miami, Florida. Her journey later took her to Arcadia, Apopka, and Tampa before she settled in Fort Pierce in December 1987. Fort Pierce became the place where she built a life centered on hard work, family, faith, and service to others. In later years, she also lived in Cocoa and Tampa. Eveline was truly one of a kind. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, godmother, and a surrogate mother to many. She had a generous heart and was known for helping people without hesitation. She would give her last to someone in need and made many people feel as though they were part of her own family. She had a special passion for cooking large meals in her own unique style. Eveline loved watching people enjoy her food, and seeing their reactions brought her great joy. She was also widely known for her gift for commerce and her passion for the pèpè business. Through hard work, creativity, and determination, she created several sources of income throughout South Florida. Many people knew her for two things: her delicious food and her strong business spirit. Although Eveline faced many hardships and adversities, she continued to persevere. She did not allow the people she loved to remain trapped in sorrow. Instead, she encouraged them to keep moving forward, trust in the Lord, and believe that God would never let them down. Her faith, resilience, and strength became an example to everyone around her. Eveline was a devoted mother who wore many hats within her extended family, and she did not play when it came to protecting the people she loved. Her warm smile showed her tenderness, but those closest to her also knew her courage, honesty, and strength. She was affectionately known as Madame Romain, Eveline, and Mami. During her final moments, Eveline asked her family to dance and sing with her as she prepared to make her transition. That moment reflected the joy, faith, and love she carried throughout her life. Today, we find comfort in knowing that she is with God, free from pain, suffering, and the burdens of this earthly life. Although she is no longer physically present, her love, lessons, laughter, and legacy will continue to live through all who knew her. She will forever remain in our hearts.
